Soy Sauce Eggs

What you need

6 eggs, soy sauce, sugar, half of an onion, (optional; jalapenos)

What you do

Boil water and cook the eggs for 6 to 6.5 minutes.

Rinse the eggs under cold water and let them sit for a moment.

In a storage container, 100ml mix soy sauce, 100ml water, 50g sugar, and chopped half of an onion. (Optional: add diced jalapeños for extra spice.)

Peel the eggs and place them in the marinade.

Let them marinate for at least a day before serving.

Lab notes

I personally love having them on top of a rice bowl for a simple meal, or adding them to ramen or wonton soup 🙂
